Political parties associated with politicians from Mt Kenya have been approached by another party to wind up and they will be given some money for them to go into business instead of politicking. Already some senior politicians acting as proxies of this parties have accepted the requests so do not be surprised to see some parties folding up or simply declaring their support for a certain presidential aspirant.

A recently defected MP, was overheard saying most of the problems her family had faced especially land issues that followed her dad into retirement had been solved by ODM. For her, she told a friend, their was nothing to lose by defecting to another party.

Corridors is wondering why the police in Nakuru on Friday closed for a moment sections of the Nakuru’s Central Business District as Prophet Owuor’s motorcade was leaving Tuskys supermarket after a shopping spree. The police were seen harassing members of public as they cordoned off the area to allow the prophet’s motorcade leave the area.

If there are real men, they are to be found in the politics of trade unions. If his statement is anything to go by, Issa Werukha Wafula, the “Assistant General Secretary of Kenya Plantation & Agricultural Workers Union” is one such real man. With his boss and COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli facing contempt of court charges next week, Wafula issued press statement yesterday assuring the “public and Kenyan workers” that there is no cause for alarm: “They should rest assured that no leadership vacuum will be created as a result of Atwoli's committal to jail, as the assistant general secretary of KPAWU I am ripe for leadership and will take over.” Atwoli has finally met his match.
