2 grenade ATTACKS rock Eastleigh, NAIROBI

Friday, the 12th of October 2012 - The Eastleigh area of Nairobi has been rocked by two grenade attacks in quick succession. The first grenade was reportedly hurled into a bar on Muratina Street barely an hour ago.

The second grenade was reportedly thrown into the crowd of police officers and members of the public who had gathered at the scene of the first explosion. Reports are still sketchy but the Kenyan DAILY POST has learnt from a reliable source that the area OCPD and at least three police officers were injured in the second blast.

The scene of the explosion on Muratina Street is said to be just a few meters away from the St Polycarp Church which was the target of a similar terrorist attack barely a fortnight ago.

More on this story to follow as details emerge.
