New Ministers, Assistant Minister sworn-in

President Mwai Kibaki Friday at his Harambee House office witnessed the swearing-in of two newly appointed Cabinet Ministers and an Assistant Minister.
The swearing-in of the new Provincial Administration and Internal Security Minister Katoo Ole Metito, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Ababu Namwamba and Assistant Minister John Mbadi of the Office of the Prime Minister was conducted by the acting Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet, Francis Kimemia.
Congratulating the new ministers and assistant minister, President Kibaki emphasized on the need for them to uphold collective responsibility at all times in discharging their duties.
The President said the appointment of the two ministers and an assistant minister comes at the right time to fill in the gaps that existed in Government.
In this regard, President Kibaki advised them to serve Kenyans diligently and without fear or favour, expressing optimism that the appointment of the two ministers and assistant minister will boost the Government's effort to provide services to wananchi.
"We have so far done well in providing services to Kenyans and we intended to continue and do even better," President Kibaki said.
Present during the swearing-in ceremony were Gender, Children and Social Development Minister Dr. Naomi Shabaan, Attorney-General Prof. Githu Muigai and the families of the new Cabinet Ministers and Assistant Minister.
