By-election: Parties make final push for votes

Security has been beefed up in the constituencies ahead of the poll.
Presidential aspirants Saturday joined their respective candidates on the final campaign trail to woo voters in three constituencies that will go for mini-polls on Monday.
On the last day of campaigns ahead of the by elections in Kajiado North, Kangema and Ndhiwa constituencies, political leaders urged the voters to turn out in large numbers to elect their party aspirants.
In Ndhiwa Prime Minister Raila Odinga campaigned for ODM candidate Augustino Neto, who is facing stiff challenge from Kanu's Tom Alila.
Thousands of people turned up to welcome the PM as business came to a near standstill at Ndhiwa market where he addressed a mammoth crowd.
The rally was preceded by stops at various places including Magina, Ratanga, Kalamindi, Opapo, Aluor, as enthusiastic crowds welcomed him.
The PM, who was accompanied by cabinet minister Otieno Kajwang, energy assistant minister magerer Langat, MPs Martin ogindo, Millie Odhiambo, implored voters to elect Neto.
In Kangema, Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta made a final passionate appeal to the residents to elect The National Alliance party candidate Tirus Ngahu.
He was flanked by TNA Kangema by-election candidate Tirus Ngahu and Nairobi Metropolitan minister Jamleck Kamau.
In Kajiado North Constituency, security was tight following claims of circulation of leaflets directing voters on how to engage in the voting exercise.  
Security has been beefed up in the constituencies ahead of the poll.
