A prominent Eldoret businessman shocked his in-laws and clan elders when he summoned them to a local hotel for a meeting and systematically handed over documents, photographs and even video recordings to prove that his wife — who is seven months pregnant — was cheating on him with a close family friend who is a valuer in the town. The businessman produced copies of steamy text messages exchanged between the pair, copies of receipts of the hotel rooms they shared as well as incriminating photographs which he found on his wife's laptop. Confronted by the evidence, the meeting ended in disarray as the businessman and his wife went their separate ways.

The flamboyant MP seems be to be a good crowd puller. Assistant minister Ferdinand Waititu seems to have lost favour while an ardent Uhuru supporter, former Kamukunji MP Simon Mbugua, seems to have been locked out of city politics.
