ODM is ready to accept “rebel” MPs back as long as they apologise and behave, a party official has said.

Party deputy secretary-general Joseph Nkaissery on Sunday said they would forgive those members rebelling against party principles but not relent in bringing discipline among its members.
“I want to extend the olive branch to the (ODM) ‘rebels’ and inform them that they are welcome,” he said in Rongai.
Last week, ODM Chief Whip Jakoyo Midiwo threatened to de-whip two of its MPs, Adan Duale (Dujis) and Isaac Ruto (Chepalungu), saying they had opposed Prime Minister Raila Odinga (the party’s leader). (Read: ODM threatens to expel all rebels as mutiny holds)
That meant that the two would lose the sponsorship of the party and not represent it in any of the House committees.
The official also wrote to the registrar of political parties, Ms Lucy Ndung’u, saying that the two MPs be expelled from ODM.
However, Mr Duale and Mr Rutto insist they have done nothing wrong to warrant an apology.
