Maranda disowns KCSE 'top performing guard'

Share/Save/Bookmark Maranda High School has disowned a guard purporting to have scored plain As at their school in the just released form four examination results.
The school’s principal Boaz Owino said the guard Otieno Brian Ochieng was not at any point a student at his school. Meanwhile the real Brian Ochieng emerged yesterday in Nairobi and wondered why the Kisii based watchman was masquerading as him. "I was in Maranda and those results are mine. How can this man claim to be me. i don't have a clone," said the real Ochieng. The fake one has meanwhile gone underground.
Speaking to the star yesterday the Maranda school principal said the real Otieno Brian Ochieng who scored plain As and become position five in Nyanza province resides with his parents in Nairobi.
He said he was astonished to watch in a local TV a guard purporting to be a former student of Maranda High School scoring high marks in the examinations.
The guard narrated that he was an orphan after his parents died in a road accident four years ago while the school’s principal refuted the claims that Otieno Brian Ochieng has existing parents.
At his work place at Quorum Pub in Kisumu, workers say that the firm that employed him had summoned him to their Mombasa headquarter’s office to congratulate him after learning of his success.
