The postponement of talks between the government and the UN Security Council should not be a cause of celebration, Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka said on Thursday.
At the meeting, Kenya was to present its case for the deferment of cases at the International Criminal Court.
The PNU and ODM parties have displayed their differences over the matter, with PNU seeking a deferral while ODM has opposed it.
Petition still in UN system
A meeting planned between Kenya Government representatives and the UN Security Council, which was scheduled for Wednesday in New York, was postponed.
“We will still seek to build consensus with the Council despite the postponements... The petition is still within the UN Security Council system,” he said at his Jogoo House offices where he flagged off 16 new pick-ups for the Kenya Prisons.
Senior Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Benjamin Njoga said the vehicles would be used to transport farm and industrial products as well as prisoners and staff.
