Share/Save/Bookmark Plans are underway for a grand home-coming party in Nairobi on the day Uhuru Kenyatta arrives back in the country from The Hague early next month.
MPs allied to the Deputy Prime Minister will ferry thousands of supporters sympathetic to Uhuru and some of the ‘Ocampo Six’ to the JKIA as a sign of support.
According to Naivasha MP John Mututho, who is a close ally of Uhuru, the move is meant to send a message to the Deputy PM's opponents that "he is not finished, politically."“We ask all Kenyans who support Uhuru and Ruto to turn up in big numbers to welcome our brothers. Vehicles to the airport will be provided free of charge.”
The legislator went to the defense of Uhuru saying that he was not involved in the planning of the post election violence as alleged. According to him, the ICC case was part of a bigger scheme to lock out Uhuru from vying for the presidency in 2012.
