The National Alliance (TNA) presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta has proven that he can ride a motorcycle as well as he can run a presidential campaign. He was at Kangemi neighbourhood in the outskirts of the capital Nairobi, where he launched the Yamaha Boda Boda Roadshow, Kenyatta displayed his riding skills to thousands of people.
While Yamaha would be offering boda boda riders with cheaper bikes, the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) would offer them comprehensive health cover while the Automobile Association of Kenya (AAK) would offer them road skills. “This is a clear demonstration that the government is determined to help the boda boda riders in Kenya,” a source explained.
Kenyatta is among the front-runners in next year’s general elections when several candidates are positioning themselves to replace retiring President Mwai Kibaki, who is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term in office.
