A section of MPs from Nyanza have distanced themselves from their colleagues who have thrown their weight behind those backing legislator Ababu Namwamba
11 Members of Parliament said today,Thursday they will support Senator Agnes Zani for the Secretary General position during the upcoming party elections
The MPs who included John Mbadi, TJ Kajwang and Junet Mohamed said they will support Zani as she is an able leader for the position
The statement came a day after 7 MPs from Nyanza mainly from South Nyanza announced they will be backing Namwamba for the powerful position
MPs led by Ken Obura declared they would support Ababu Namwamba in his bid to become Secretary General of ODM.
The other MPs supporting Ababu include David Ochieng, Goerge Oner, Millie Odhiambo, Ken Okoth, Agostino Neto and Silvance Osele.
The party elections are scheduled for end of February.
