Raila invited for a cup of coffee by Obama


Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, who is touring the United States, has been invited for a cup of coffee by US President Barrack Obama.
According to impeccable sources, Raila received the invitation upon his arrival at Dallas-Fortworth Airport (DFW) in Texas on Friday.
In the letter which had a seal of the US State Department, President Obama requested the CORD leader to accept a cup of coffee at his Oval Office in White House.
The letter was signed by Assistant Secretary of State, William burns, who telephoned Raila Odinga to confirm the invitation.
This will be a big honour for Raila Odinga who is regarded as the father of democracy in Kenya and it is also an honour to the country as a whole.
Raila is currently in Dallas Texas where he has taken 12 CORD Governors for an induction course on devolution.
Details of the Raila /Obama meeting were not communicated in the letter.
