- Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had on Sunday declined offers by some MPs and senators to step down for him.
Cord legislators have settled on a plan that will see former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka make a return to Parliament.
The plan involves the voluntary resignation of one of their own MP to allow Mr Musyoka to contest for the seat in the subsequent by-election.
Once back in Parliament, according to the plan, Mr Musyoka will assume the position of minority leader in Parliament.
