Tuesday March19, 2013 - The mother of legendary basket ball player Michael Jordan will tomorrow host a fundraiser at the Intercontinental Hotel aimed at assisting women as they celebrate International Woman’s Day.
Delores Jordan will hold a fund raiser for building the Kenyan Woman and Children Wellness Centre.
Delores, who has been in the country since last Thursday, will host the fundraiser at Nairobi hotel accompanied by other international community dignitaries.
In an interview on Monday, Mrs Jordan said the wellness centre is committed to promoting equality and good healthcare for everyone.
“The centre will offer testing services for cancer, HIV testing, obscenity among other diseases to all,” she said.
She also said she will offer free education to needy children in Kibera slums to uplift their living standards so that they can be proud to be Kenyans.
