Tuesday, the 19th of March 2013 - News just in indicates that the European Union has decided to keep its election observers in Kenya until the Supreme Court makes its verdict on the election petition filed by CORD challenging IEBC’s decision to declare Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of the March 4thelections.
The EU observer team lead by Alojz Peterle released its largely positive initial report on the March 4th election two days after Kenyans woke up in large numbers to express their will.
The observer team is expected to release its final report two months after election day. The report is expected to include a thorough postmortem of the March 4thelections as well as recommendations for the future.
