Monday October 22, 2012 - Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Dr Evans Kidero has dismissed media reports that he is planning to decamp Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for The National Alliance (TNA) party.
In a hard hitting statement from his Campaign secretariat, Kidero’s camp denied rumour doing rounds in the city that he is headed for Uhuru Kenyatta’s TNA.
Kidero’s team said they were approached by TNA to decamp from ODM but insisted they are in ODM to stay.
“They made advances thinking we are like small girls who can easily be convinced .But we are in ODM to stay and we do not want TNA,” Kidero’s team said in a statement.
Kidero has been at loggerheads with ODM top brass for promising Starehe MP Bishop Wanjiru direct nomination for Nairobi governor’s seat, prompting media speculation that he may decamp the Orange party.
Both Bishop Wanjiru and Dr Kidero are vying for the Nairobi governor seat.
