
Speaking in Maasai Mara after he attended the launch of Francis Nkoitoi’s bid for governor in Narok South, Kosgei who is also the Industrialisation Minister said it is important for the country to pray for them because they are innocent but have to wait for justice to take its course.
“Lets us pray for them to be set free. We should stand by them so that they can overcome the charges and forge ahead as a country,” Kosgei said.
The Tinderet MP who was among the six suspects but ICC court acquitted him together with former Police Commissioner Major Hussein Ali, maintained that the four suspects who were indicted by the Hague based court early this year, did not plan the 2007-08 post election violence.
Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Eldoret North MP William Ruto, former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura and radio presenter Joshua Sang are facing ICC charges for heinous crimes their allegedly committed during the 2007-08 post election violence.
