Friday October 5, 2012 - President Mwai Kibaki’s daughter Judy Kibaki has been appointed be a member of the Brand Kenya board for a period of three years.
In a gazette notice dated Friday the 5th of October, Ms Kibaki was appointed to serve on the board with effect from 24th July 2012.
Minister of Information Samuel Poghisio also gazetted Christopher Diaz as a member of the Brand Kenya board.
Brand Kenya is one of the recently created State Corporation whose main mandate is to ensure an integrated national brand is established, harnessed and sustained in the long term.
It’s also charged with the responsibility of coordinating initiatives meant to market the country in order to maximize their efficiency and create and maintain the Kenyan brand to identify and distinguish Kenyan products, services and concepts.
Other than Brand Kenya, Ms Kibaki is also a member of the Export Promotion Council board.
