Sunday October 21, 2012 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential bid received a huge boost on Sunday, after Kuria MP Dr Wilfred Machage dumped his former party the United Republican Party (URP) for Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Dr Machage, who is also Roads Assistant Minister, said the PM is well placed to unite the country and urged Kenyans support his Presidential quest.
Machage described the PM as an experienced politician, patriotic and God fearing leader.
The Minister vowed to ensure all Kuria votes are for the Raila Odinga and expressed overwhelming confidence that the PM will clinch the presidency come March next year.
The PM received Dr Machage on Sunday morning as he continued his tour of South Nyanza region.
Raila said Machage has seen light at the end of the tunnel and urged other Kuria leaders to join his bandwagon.
