Team picked to find G7 flagbearer-Poghisio says

Information and Communication Minister Mr Samuel Poghisio has hinted that a team has been picked to work on a formula to nominate a single flag bearer of the G7 alliance.
Without elaborating, Poghisio said the alliance which brings together Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto, and Eugene Wamalwa is intact.
Speaking at Sunflower Academy in Pokot West County during a funds drive in aid of a dormitory, the minister said a team is webbing on a strategic to pick a nominee to run for the presidency under the banner of the alliance.
“We have put in place mechanism to nominate our flag-bearer. We would use elders to nominate our nominee. We are only praying things go well at The Hague where our teammate has traveled for the ICC case,” said the Kacheliba MP.
He dismissed claims that G7 is in crisis arguing the team was only waiting the verdict of ICC before embarking on vigorous campaigns.
Poghisio who stepped in for Ruto as the chief guest said G7 would form the next government and urged Kenyans to support the course.
He called for an end to wrangles within the United Democratic Movement party (UDM) which erupted after former national assembly speaker Francis Ole
Kaparo was proposed as the chairman.
Secretary General for UDM Martin Ole Kamwaro has warned that the party intruders were making illegal lineups in the run up to the 2012 general elections.
Also installed as chairman is Joseph Chirchir prompting former Army chief general John Koech to move to court to challenge the decision to oust him.
