Sunday December 30, 2012 - The magical wand of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta seems to be unstoppable in Central Kenya, after Gatanga Constituency which is the backyard of Presidential hopeful Peter Kenneth declared its allegiance to the son of Jomo.
Although many political pundits and analysts have put Gatanga constituency as the main backyard of Peter Kenneth, the electorate in region said they loved Peter Kenneth but Uhuru has more national outlook than Kenneth.
They asked Kenneth to run for the Governor’s seat in Murang’a County if he wants them to vote for him but not for the Presidency because it has been reserved for Uhuru.
Murang'a County has seven constituencies namely; Gatanga, Kandara, Kigumo, Kiharu, Maragua, Kangema and Mathioya.
The County registered close to half million votes and it might be a big boost for Uhuru Kenyatta if he clinches the populous County in the forthcoming general election.
