Friday, August 31, 2012 - Citizen TV’s well protected name is on the docks as its cameraman is alleged to be masquerading as a journalist from other stations and soliciting money from Members of Parliament and political aspirants in Rift valley region and Western region, to host them on Citizen TV’s breakfast show.
Dismas Nasibwa, a former employee of NTV is alleged to have been fired from the station over the same allegations of extorting money from VIP’s to host them in some of the most watched shows.
The victims of his extortionist are now up in arms and baying for his blood as he has been asking for bribes ranging from Sh.20, 000 to Sh. 100,000 depending on one’s status.
Apparently Nasibwa who is based at Nyamira never misses public events where he meets his easy targets. He is said to be hiring other journalists who pose to be employees from other stations like KTN, NTV and KISSTV.
