Tuesday July 28, 2015 - President Uhuru Kenyatta was once again embarrassed in his own country by the Secret Service at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), before US President, Barrack Obama, left the country for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Uhuru, who arrived with a huge delegation of dignitaries at the airport to see off the US President as he boarded his Air Force One, was forced by shed off some of his dignitaries by the Secret Service before he could be allowed near Obama’s plane.
Many of Uhuru’s men and women were denied access to the secure area at JKIA where the US President was boarding his Air Force One.
A Secret Service officer could be seen arguing with some of Uhuru’s VIPs before allowing only a handful of them to access the heavily guarded area where Obama was.
Among those in Uhuru’s delegation who were barred from going near Air Force One was Nairobi Governor, Dr. Evans Kidero, who was also the hosting Governor for the GE Summit and Obama.
Surprisingly, Kidero was among those who accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta to JKIA on Friday to receive the US President and welcome him to Kenya.
Among those who were allowed to bid Obama bye as boarded his plane apart from Uhuru were Deputy President William Ruto, Machakos Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua, Foreign Affairs CS, Amina Mohammed and Deputy Senate Speaker, Kembi Gitura.
