Nairobi ODM Chairman George Aladwa is being held at the Central police station after calling for the swearing in of Raila Odinga on Saba Saba.
ODM officials in Nairobi county Thursday said they will swear in Raila Odinga as President if dialogue between the opposition and the government does not take place by July 7.
But ODM acting party leader Anyang'  warned that it was not the official position of the party. It is not yet known what Aladwa will be charged with.
On Thursday ODM Chairman in Nairobi county George Aladwa warned Jubilee members against using Raila Odinga's name in the Mpeketoni attacks.
"We are warning Jubilee leaders to stop using Raila's name when they talk of Mpeketoni, we are ready to demonstrate or politic to protect the name of our leader," he stated.
"The President must meet our leader Raila Odinga or at least send emissaries to discuss like he did during the Westgate attack failure to which we are going to buy a Bible and Quran and swear Raila as our President," Ochieng Jera, Lang'ata ODM chairman said.
Cord has been holding rallies that will culminate into the Saba Saba rally scheduled for the historic Kamukunji grounds on July 7.
Aladwa also suspended three party members, John Ochola, Job Odhiambo and Richard Ongos who had stated on Wednesday that they had ousted Aladwa and taken over as ODM officials.
"I am still the ODM chairman in Nairobi having been elected constitutionally by delegates contrary to what some street urchins are spreading around who are suspended from ODM," he said.
"Furthermore ODM is not a tribal party where all officials can be Luo as the three were making it look like," he stated.
He called on Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero to sue the three who have been using his name in their meetings in a move to divide the party.
"We call upon our Governor to take action against the three who have been using his name to misguide Kenyans and divide us which we will not let because we are behind our Governor," he stated.
The officials also offered a direct nomination to Steven Kariuki a direct nomination in the upcoming by-election in Mathare constituency.
