GONE TOO SOON: Jerry Okungu.
Veteran journalist and Star columnist Jerry Okungu has passed away after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer at the MP Shah hospital in Nairobi today. He was 61.
Okungu was diagnosed with the condition in 2011; he had through a series of articles in the Star newspaper. made public his condition as well as a campaign to promote awareness and treatment among men.
The articles he wrote on his condition are I Have Advanced Prostate Cancer and Life Is An Uphill Task As a Cancer Patient.
