Dismissing critics who have been on a hate spree following the confirmation of her planned wedding to her Nigerian Preacher love, Anselm Madubuko, celebrated gospel star Emmy Kosgei now says that she has no apologies to makr for choosing the wealthy foreigner.
“He loves me as I am and understands what I do. I wish people would mind their own business and let us be. God has given me perseverance and I have risen high above those critics.
When I see all the reactions from critics, it only proves I’m on the right track,” she told MondayBlues.
“I had been single for quite some time before he approached me and asked for my hand in marriage. He is the only man who had the confidence to approach me. No one else did,” she added.
With a few days to go before the wedding, Emmy has come under sharp criticism, with scores of people claiming that she only fell for the Nigerian pastor because of his money.
The two met a couple of years ago during an annual gospel convention hosted by celebrated pastor Wilfred Lai at his Jesus Celebration Center in Mombasa.
After the meet-up, the Nigerian preacher invited her to Nigeria where she was treated to a surprise pomp and glamour event, complete with a red carpet reception before the preacher proposed to her.
“I have a strong character and I would rather be with someone mature who knows what I do and understands me instead of a small boy who I’ll sitting on,” she remarked, saying she had no issues with his age.
