Our moles tell us Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru had to step in to avert the argument which almost resulted in a physical exchange.

An ex-mayor is the darling of many bar attendants in the city. The man lavishes his wealth and attention to any female attendant who catches his fancy and retains his interest. He has been known to buy his love interests fantastic gifts ranging from cars to even houses in Nairobi's Eastlands area. The man has reportedly installed four such attendants who used to work in a popular joint owned by his friends in his home as his wives (harem). The ex-mayor is the envy of some of the city MCAs for maintaining a lifestyle they cannot imagine unless one is in public office!

A man who failed in his bid to be appointed a Principal Secretary has threatened to expose a Jubilee MP who demanded money from him under the pretext he would influence his appointment as principal secretary. The former parastatal board member claims the MP approached him when he least expected or even considered such an appointment and persuaded him the job was his as long as he parted with 'something small."Its been months since and the MP has since refused to refund the money or take up the man's calls.

A senior policeman in Kisumu has earned the nicknamed ‘Kanungo’ (of the waist), after a popular Ohangla song in Nyanza region- 'Kanungo E Teko' (Waist is Power). Reason? The officer is obsessed with the song and haunts local pubs and clubs demanding that they play the song over and over again. And when they do comply, the policeman will immediately get dancing. His dancing is so good that he has been showered with drinks and food by grateful patrons who are entertained by his performance.

A prominent Vice chancellor from one of the leading public universities who failed to be appointed a principal secretary is angry that some of the university staff have filed a complaint with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. Since then, the VC has identified one of those who filed the complaint and ordered him to relocate to a remote part of Eastern province. The VC has defied a court order directing him to revoke the transfer.
