Sunday January 13, 2013 - As the battle for Kibaki succession heats up, Jubilee supremos, Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP are today heading to Githunguri Stadium in Kiambu County for a historic rally.
The two energetic politicians, who are expected at the venue on Sunday afternoon, are expected to thank the voters in the region for registering immensely in the just concluded voter registration exercise.
According to the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Kiambu County registered a record of over 860, ooo votes, which is a record in the commission’s history.
This comes a day after the two unveiled their campaign dream team at the historic Uhuru Park grounds on Saturday.
At Uhuru Park’s meeting the two exuded confidence on winning the March 4thgeneral election saying their CORD counterparts will be the official opposition party come March 5.
