Monday, the 14th of January 2013 -After hinting at her intention of making an ‘unprecedented announcement’ today, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua is set to become the country’s first presidential aspirant to declare her wealth.
Party sources inform the Kenyan DAILY POST that Karua will declare her wealth soon after receiving a certificate from Narc Kenya to vie for the Presidency in the March 4th general elections.
The party’s aspirants are currently receiving their nomination certificates at the Narc Kenya headquarters in Nairobi. This is after the party held its primaries on the 10th of January, last Thursday.
Earlier it was thought that Karua would finally announce her running mate today after she tweeted;
“I will be making an unprecedented announcement today that sets a new standard of leadership for the greater Kenya we all hope for!”
Now though it appears that Karua will instead be declaring her wealth. This is a shrewd gimmick that is bound to rattle her competition, most of whom are scared of letting Kenyans know what they are really worth because it is bound to raise all manner of questions on how the wealth was acquired.
