Friday December 28, 2012 - Central Organisation of Trade Union (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has urged Kenyans to reject Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s Presidential bid since he is not an honest and trustworthy leader.
Speaking at his home in Khwisero on Wednesday, Atwoli warned Kenyans against electing Uhuru saying he does not meet the integrity requirement outlined in the Chapter Six of the new constitution. He said Kenya must elect leaders of high integrity.
Atwoli further stated that Uhuru may sign treaties that would harm Kenyans if elected President.
“Kenyans must be wary of such a leader because if elected president he may sign treaties with other countries only to backtrack later,” he said.
Atwoli was speaking after he hosted Prime Minister Raila Odinga at his home on Wednesday afternoon.
He also declared that he will be supporting Raila’s Presidential bid saying he is the only Presidential candidate who will safe guard the interests of the Luhya community.
