Friday August 17, 2012 - Energy Assistant Minister Magerer Langat has told Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP to unite if they want to be in State House next year.
Speaking in Kirinyaga County as he commissioned a lighting project in the area on Thursday, Mr Langat who is a key ally of Prime Minister Raila Odinga in Rift Valley, told the two to negotiate on who should be the running mate of the other for them to win.
“If these leaders fail to merge, they should forget to State House,” Langat said who is currently warming to join Uhuru’s party, The National Alliance (TNA) from the ODM.
Langat, who is also the Kipkelion MP, accused the Kikuyu and Kalenjin voters for pushing Mr Kenyatta and Mr Ruto to go alone, saying this is misleading them.
“The people are misleading the two by repeatedly telling them to seek the top seat separately, they are spoiling them,” the Minister said.
The MP was accompanied by area MP Gachoki Gitari.
