BREAKING NEWS: Accident in Maralal, 2 DEAD and 13 injured

Thursday, August 16, 2012 - News just in indicates that a lorry ferrying timber has been involved in a head on collision with a 14 seater matatu. Reports indicate that two people have died in the grisly incident and 13 others rushed to hospital.

Kenya Red Cross report states that the accident occurred along Baragoi Road in Maralal happened at about 7 a.m. The lorry is said to have been overtaking a personal car when it hit the oncoming matatu.

Police and rescue volunteers are on ground helping the victims. The injured passengers are reported to be having broken limbs and internal injuries.
