nother SHOCK in ODM: BETT and KONES headed to RUTO’s URP


Thursday August 16, 2012-Prime Minister Raila Odinga received  has received another major blow, after word spread that his two key pillars in Rift Valley are warming to join Ruto’s party, the United Republican Party (URP).

Roads Minister Franklin Bett andAssistant Minister Office of the Vice President and Home Affairs Beatrice Kones are planning to join URP because of supremacy wrangles in Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) between the Premier’s wife Ida Odinga and ODM Reloaded team initially headed by Rachael Shebesh.

Our mole in ODM told the DAILY POST that the two have also decided to leave the Orange Party due to diminishing popularity of ODM in Rift Valley and if they stick to ODM they may fail to defend their seats.

Bett is the MP for Bureti and Kones is the MP for Bomet.

The move comes barely a day after two ODM top female lieutenants Rachael Shebesh and Lorna Laboso, expressed their dissatisfaction with the Orange Party and threatened to quit.
 Shebesh is currently warming up to join Uhuru’s party The National Alliance (TNA) and Laboso is warming up to join Ruto’s party URP.

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has also threatened Raila that she will quit ODM if she is not given a full ministerial position before the end of the week.
