NTV Jicho Pevu’s Pastor Michael Njoroge STAGED shooting

NTV Jicho Pevu’s Pastor Michael Njoroge STAGED shooting

Monday, the 30th of July 2012 -Embattled Pastor Michael Njoroge got into more hot water today as police revealed that they do not believe his claims of having been shot at while in is vehicle. Police are saying that the pastor at Fire Gospel Ministries must have staged the shooting since the trajectory of the bullet holes in his car are inconsistent with his claims that he was shot at while driving.

Police say their investigations are showing that the car was not in motion. Revealing the inconsistencies, Provincial police boss Anthony Kibuchi, said that even though the officers are fairly certain about what happened, the investigations into the matter are still continuing;

“We are carrying out further investigations and we have many questions to ask. The pastor alleges that he was shot by unknown people when driving and the entry of the bullet and exit are corresponding. Thorough investigations will be done by the ballistic experts and give their final report,” said Kibuchi.

“When we visited the scene of crime we did not get the cartridges at the scene. His firearm – a Cesca pistol – had 12 rounds of ammunition out of the 15 which it is supposed to hold,” he added.

Kibuchi explained the inconsistency;

“According to us this vehicle was shot when it was not it motion; it was stagnant, that is what we are saying and we need to verify the allegations made by him,” he said.

He said the case was a perfect example of why independent fire arm holders in Kenya should not abuse their rights;

“We do not license people to hold firearms just to joke with them, show off or stage manage some incidences. We normally give them out for self protection. If somebody goes on to misuse them, the Chief Firearms Officers has the right to revoke the license without notice,” he said.

“We have revoked several this year, one in Ong’ata Rongai who shot a neighbour’s sheep which had entered into his compound, another one in Kasarani who displayed his gun in bar for show off and many others,” he concluded.
