Share/Save/Bookmark Ford-Kenya Leader Moses Wetang'ula has called upon politicians to set aside their differences and allow a smooth implementation of the new constitution.
Wetang'ula said MPs need to avoid side shows that have hit the news in the past few days and instead ensure that the constitution implementation process moves on.
As a party Ford Kenya will play its part in ensuring Bills geared at ensuring the implementation of the constitution will be supported on the floor of the house.
He was speaking in Nakuru shortly after the party's National Executive Council meeting. The meeting doubled up as a National Executive Council and Parliamentary group meeting.
He said that recent developments barring MPs from holding political offices will not affect the next parliament under the new constitutional dispensation which he said does not describe them as public officers but elected representatives. He said that the executive committee discussed ways of popularizing the party in readiness for next year's General Election.
