The National Population and Housing Census results will be released in June this year.
Planning Minister Wycliffe Oparanya said the delay in releasing both the actual and provisional results had been occasioned by errors discovered during the compilation of the data.
Oparanya also assured that the government will pay the allowances it owes over 500 census officials by next month.
The minister spoke during the launch of the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics strategic plan for 2008 and 2012 at the KICC Wednesday morning.
The exercise was conducted in August last year.
