Jubilee Alliance Party has put up a campaign strategy to capture Malindi parliamentary and Kericho senate seats in the March 7 by-elections.
Senate majority leader Kindiki Kithure and his deputy Kipchumba Murkomen addressed the media yesterday at JAP offices in Nairobi.
The seats fell vacant following the appointment of former Kericho senator Charles Keter and former Malindi MP Dan Kazungu as cabinet secretaries for Energy and Mining.
“We will camp in Kericho and Malindi to ensure we win the two seats,” Murkomen said.
The two said a battalion of national and local leaders from Kericho and Malindi will spearhead the campaigns.
Sources say Kindiki will head campaigns in Kericho assisted by other senators.
National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale with his team of Jubilee lawmakers will be in Malindi.
A source said Jubilee leaders are “doing everything possible to ensure they are not embarrassed by Kanu and Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto” in the Kericho poll results.
