Politician Kalembe Ndile yesterday said his party The Independent Party had left the Cord coalition terming the its leadership as dictatorial. Kalembe said his independent party TIP will form a third force and is scouting for like minded politicians.
“Jubilee government has failed and Cord have also failed as they are not offering alternatives and solutions to the problems facing Kenyans,” Kalembe said.
Kalembe added that both Jubilee and Cord have turned to selfish outfits with their leaders concentrating on cutting deals to make money at the expense of wananchi.
He added that he had also left Cord due to Machakos senator Johnson Muthama who he accused of refusal to allow input from other leaders. The former Kibwezi West legislator further questioned the “fuss” over Raila Odinga's impending return to the country.
“What is going to change when Raila returns this weekend? In fact, I think he should retire from politics and let the younger generation take over,” Kalembe said.
The independent party leader added that insecurity had become so bad that people now fear going to church on Sunday lest their bombed. He said the security problem could only be tackled after the government de-ethnicises the security apparatus as all the top bosses belonged to one community.
Kalembe added that the government should also move fast and save the Malili farmers who were fleeced hundreds of millions of shillings by brokers who sold their land to the government for the creation of the Konza techno city.
