Politicians from Northern Kenya where there have been clashes are in a panic after the CID summoned them to record statements over the killings. The politicians, who include governors, fear that they may be arrested and charged with various offences.

Wilson Sossion doesn't seem to have understood that he is now the Kenya National Union of Teachers secretary general. During a press conference at Knut headquarters on Wednesday, Sossion kept on referring to the chairman Mudzo Nzili as the secretary general to the amusement of other members who asked him "who is the secretary general?".

Former President Moi's security detail seems to live in the past. When Moi unveiled the Imara Daima Railway Station on Wednesday, his security guards kept pushing away everybody, including some MPs who were around. The MPs were furious that the bodyguards did not respect them.

Some MPs are unhappy with National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi for suspending committee sittings until next year. Their problem is that they have no excuse to avoid their constituents and earn more money from sitting allowances. An MP from Central Kenya told the Star that it does not matter that the sittings were suspended as he will still have his meals and drinks at the bunge cafeteria.

We are told that the Information ministry has asked KBC to re-introduce them and encourage new ones to remind Kenyans of their patriotic duty. It is not clear if the decision has already been communicated to the national broadcaster but do not be surprised if you hear the songs.
