A lot has been done at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport since the big fire. It has now emerged that the international arrivals terminal, which was burnt, will have to be demolished as the structure is too weak.
Today, a section of tents are set to come down, as a new international arrivals terminal is opened. It was initially planned to be a parking garage, but will now temporary serve a different, more important purpose.
The terminal yesterday handled 8 test run flights successfully.
It comes with a bank, forex bureau, restaurant and other airport offices.
Here are some photos from JKIA.
