Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga’s trip to the US has yield some fruits.
This is after the Homa Bay County Governor, Cyprian Awiti, signed a deal worth $2 billion (approximately over Ksh160 billion), with New York Mayor, Bloomberg for generation of electricity.
This comes amid criticism of Raila’s US trip by Uhuru/Ruto’s Jubilee operatives, who termed the trip as a mere waste of time for the CORD Governors, who should be working for their people.
They also termed Raila as a puppet of the West especially the US and went on a trip with his CORD Governors just for a show off.
According to the experts from the Netted Company of Texas, the power plant to be established in Homa Bay will have the capacity to supply electricity in the whole of Nyanza and Western regions without any shortage.
The project is estimated to take not more than three years to complete and will create more employment opportunities for the locals.
