Kambi: No July pay for teachers

Nairobi, Kenya: Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi has said teachers will not be paid July salaries.

Kambi alleged that the return-to-work formula between the government and Kenya National Union ofTeachers ( Knut) was not included in the deal.

Kambi made the remarks at a press conference on Thursday.

This comes a day after Knut issued a seven-day strike notice over government’s move to withhold their July salaries.
