TNA reaches out to Raila stronghold

BY RUSHDIE OUDIA
Nairobi,Kenya:The National Alliance ( TNA) has asked voters in Nyanza to embrace other political parties for development in the region.
TNA chairman Johnson Sakaja said it was time the region gave other parties a chance instead of putting all their eggs in one basket. But he assured the region the Jubilee Government would not side-line it, and that President Uhuru Kenyatta is working to unite the whole country.
“It is time the residents of Nyanza thought differently so the country moves forward with fresh ideas,” said Sakaja.
Accompanying him, TNA Secretary General Onyango Oloo said: “We should be in many political parties so that when we fail in one we have another to steer our development agenda,”  he said.
Speaking during the thanksgiving mass for nominated Senator Joy Gwendo at Kolwa in Kisumu County, Oloo said it ius time for the region’s older politicians to prepare to pass on the mantle of leadership to the youth.
“We have leaders who have done well for our country from this region, but after a long struggle all their lives, they should pass the mantle to other people,” said Oloo.
