KIRAITU MURUNGI predicts a landslide win for UHURU KENYATTA and WILLIAM RUTO

Friday March 1, 2013 - Alliance Party of Kenya (APK) party leader Kiraitu Murungi has predicted a landslide win for Jubilee Alliance on Monday’s general election.

Speaking in Meru on Thursday during a teachers’ meeting for Meru County, Kiraitu said the Jubilee leaders have immense support from their strongholds and they will win the election with a big margin.

Kiraitu, who is a Harvard trained lawyer, dismissed the recently conducted opinion polls, saying they were causing “some Presidential candidates to panic and allege that the elections were being rigged”.

He cautioned that opinion polls were causing confusion and could to lead to mass action.
Kiraitu, who is also the Energy Minister, endorsed Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta for the Presidency, saying his party would ensure that he gets votes from the vote rich region. He urged Uhuru to be mindful of Meru people when he is elected in office on March 5th.

Again, the “Mbus” party leader said he would be running for the Presidency on an APK ticket in 2017, adding that his focus would be poverty eradication and improving the livelihoods of Kenyans.

He urged Kenyans to turn up in large numbers on March 4th, saying the future of this country is in the hands of Jubilee Alliance.
