The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) is confident of a first round victory in Monday's General Election.
Cord's presidential candidate Raila Odinga said that contrary to the opinion polls showing he was neck and neck with Jubilee's Uhuru Kenyatta, he was sure of clinching victory in the first round.
“I have been to all parts of the country, all you need is to vote and wait for the results. You will realise just how much work we have done”, said Mr Odinga in Kisumu Friday.
He noted that the Jubilee coalition could not be trusted with the country’s leadership saying its leaders could not be trusted.
“Look at what they did to Mudavadi. They lied to him that they would make him the presidential aspirant only to betray him at the last minute," Mr Odinga told supporters.
The Prime Minister lauded his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula for putting their presidential ambitions on hold and agreeing to back him.  He described their actions as "patriotic and heroic".
He said Cord would prioritise fighting corruption and ensuring equity in land distribution to jumpstart the economy.
“The vote of 4th will change the destiny of this country forever."
Mr Musyoka said that opponents were already panicking and distributing leaflets that a Cord coalition cannot hold together and therefore should not be trusted.
He said that the change that the country had been yearning for had come.
“Nothing can stop this change even the leaflets they are circulating. We are ready to work with each other and bring the change this country is yearning for," said Mr Musyoka.
Mr Musyoka said that the PM had sacrificed a lot for reforms under Kanu’s oppressive regime and therefore should be trusted to implement far reaching changes.
He pledged that Cord will offer youths grants as a way of creating jobs.
