Stan Luchebeleli
Kenya Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka on Monday appointed Mr. Stan Luchebeleli as the head the Public Relations and Communications of the Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM), based at it's Lavington's secretariat.
Mr. Luchebeleli previously worked with Kenya Times, KTN and the People Daily. He also served as thenational vice chairman of the Kenya Union of Journalists (KUJ) in 2002.
Before becoming press secretary to former Tourism Minister Najib Balala in 2002, Mr. Luchebeleli was the media adviser to the former Vice Chancellor, Kenyatta University, Prof. George Eshiwani.
After 2007 elections, WDM nominated Mr. Luchebeleli councillor to Kakamega County Council, a position he held for a year before returning to the secretariat in Nairobi.
According to a statement from WDM, 'he studied media and current affairs at the United States International University (USIU) and brings a wealth of experience to WDM due to his vast organizational media mobilization acumen and as a darling of seasoned journalists both locally and internationally for his nose for news'.
It's not clear at this point if the new PR officer will work directly with campaign strategists in the CORD alliance.
