A security guard who accuses suspended deputy Chief Justice Nancy Baraza of assaulting her is expected to appear before a tribunal Tuesday.
The guard, Rebecca Kerubo, is expected to be the tribunal's first witness at 2 pm. It is investigating her conduct.
According to Ms Kerubo, she was assaulted at the Village Market in Nairobi on New Year's eve.
On Tuesday, the tribunal visited the scene where Lady Justice Baraza is alleged to have assaulted Ms Kerubo.
The tribunal hearing started on Monday and chairman Augustino Ramadhani said Lady Justice Baraza opted to have it in private as accorded by the law.
Mr Justice Ramadhani is the retired Chief Justice of Tanzania.
Other members of the tribunal are Mr Justice (rtd) Philip Ransley, Prof Judith Mbula Bahemuka, Mr Beauttah Alukhava Siganga, Ms Grace Barbara Ngele Madoka and Prof Jesse Ndwiga Kanyua.
On Tuesday, Lady Justice Baraza attended the tribunal’s closed door session at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre accompanied by her lawyers Kioko Kilukumi and Judith Guserwa before they visited the Village Market.
