The high court has given a go ahead for the controversial Limuru 2B rally to be held at the end of the month.
The court has also ordered the police commissioner to provide elaborate security for the meeting.
The move followed a petition that had been filed by Ngunjiri Wambugu who is seeking compensation from the government for blocking the meeting that was slated for Jumuiya Conference centre last month.
Wambugu in his petition had argued that the action of the police to block the meeting amounted to violation of his constitutional rights to freedom of expression.
He is also seeking to paid over 400-thousand shillings being the money he spent in organizing the cancelled rally which he claims was advocating for nationalism instead of tribal politics ahead of the 2013 elections.
While granting the go ahead, justice Isaac Lenaola ordered that not to be armed during the meeting. The meeting will now be held at Kwabera in Limuru.
Elsewhere, judge GBM kariuki has ordered Moi's son to be ready to pay his estranged wife Rosanna Pluda Moi over 7 million shillings next week on Friday.
Pluda argued that Moi is in contempt of court for disobeying orders issued by judge Roselyn Nambuye.
Nambuye had ordered Moi to pay Rosanna 250,000 shillings monthly as alimony. Moi was expected to appear in person in court today but failed to turn up but was said to have been rushed to hospital after being involved in a road accident.
Meanwhile, Partick Njuguna now wants an order compelling AG and PS ministry of Local government to produce documents of advertisement and shortlisted candidate for the position of Nairobi town clerk that prompted the appointment of the current Nairobi City town clerk .
Roba Duba is currently holding the office.
