Kenya is set to undergo another round of peer review on the progress it has made in improving its governance structures.
Former Liberian President Amos Sawyer, who has taken over from former South African First Lady Graca Machel, will lead the African Peer Review Mechanism process.
This is the second time that the country is conducting the exercise, the first having been done in 2006.
Dr Machel was part of the Kofi Annan-led panel of Eminent African Personalities, that helped broker the peace deal between President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga, thereby ending the post-election crisis in 2008.
Two-week exercise
The review starts on Monday and is expected to last two weeks.
The team is first expected to meet the two principals before moving to all the counties in the country.
According to Prof Sawyer, some of the issues they will be examining include the land question, corruption, transparency and accountability, poverty, inequalities in the country and unemployment.
