Corridors of Power

Share/Save/Bookmark The behaviour of Makadara MP Mike "Sonko' Mbuvi has scandalised some of his colleagues who were yesterday overheard discussing the man saying he had now gone overboard. The MPs said Sonko's dressing, (studs and all) behaviour (like leading a rowdy crowd protesting the allocation of stalls in a market in his constituency during which Sonko rolled on the ground and punched burglar-proofing doors along a city street) were a bit over the top. And as they were discussing him, Sonko came by and the MPs surrounded and tried to appeal to him to stop his immoderate behaviour. The Parliamentary staff were not left behind as one of them said: "All that is remaining is for the Mheshimiwa to undress in front of us!"

Doctors at the country's national hospital Kenyatta National Hospital are considering suing their employer for breaching the labour laws. The doctors employed by the hospital said they were expected to work all through the weekends and even public holidays but were not getting any compensation. One of the doctors was overheard complaining loudly that KNH was not a charitable organisation because it generated income which should be used to compensate its workers well.
===An  invited to a state luncheon hosted by President Kibaki in honour of the visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel was so overwhelmed by President Kibaki's animated conversation with his guest. He texted Corridors: " I am at this state luncheon. Surprise of surprises, the President is talking animatedly, humourously with the German Chancellor. He looks so social and different from the stiff Kibaki many know. He looks human. Important many reformers are here but they've been invited by Germans. We see  many non reformers and Anglo leasing characters. Who invited them? We guess OP. A real clash of political cultures".
